Brown Croc Choosing Keeping Notebook

Brown Croc Choosing Keeping Notebook

Before Moleskine became a trademark in the 1990s, the word moleskine (or moleskine notebook) referred informally to a small, black, cloth-bound notebook sold throughout France, Italy and Spain. These were simple, anonymous, practical objects used by writers, artists and travellers across the 19th and early 20th centuries. The French term carnet moleskine described the binding material rather than any particular maker. Our leatherette staple bound notebook unbranded, unfussy tries to return to the true to the spirit of the originals. This particular edition was created in collaboration with long-standing customer Jarvis Cocker, inspired by his album More (2005). Inspired by his characterful wardrobe and because retro is always in style as far as we're concerned, we chose a brown croc simili cover paper in the singer’s favorite shade of brown.
