Namiki Yukari Royale Black
Yukari, is feminine alter ego to the Jumbo #50 Emperor originally made in the 50s and in turn based on the legendary art deco pens produced in the opulent Taisho era, in 1930s Japan by Pilot-Namiki. Donāt be fooled, the Yukari is has very respectable proportions suitable to both men and women. While the Emperor looks more like a piece of furniture than a writing implement - the Yukari is beautifully balanced, more understanding and more coherent with the understated sobriety of the unadorned urushi. It is the ultimate exercise in elegant and discreet luxury where sheen and shine are doing most of the heavy lifting as far as glamour is concerned. A fine gold trim under the cap brings to the pen another layer of sophistication.Ā On the writing front, all that you can wish for from an 18k Pilot nib, contact with the paper is flawlessly smooth marriage of ink to paper, consistent with Japanese nibs, like a brush, the nib has the personality of a quill.Ā `
