Japanese Tomoe River paper is widely acknowledged to be the crème de la crème as far as fountain pen paper goes. Though we have long stocked the classic Tomoe River cloth-bound notebooks, we have found an appreciation for this simple writing pad, in a handy A5 size. This incredibly thin paper is super smooth and practically bulletproof for ink performance. Indeed, the Sanzen pad is made of slightly drier paper which makes it especially suited to lower viscosity inks. A generous 200 sheets, the pad includes a removable guideline sheet to keep you on track - simply place it behind each sheet you are writing on.
