Ivory Sailor 1911 Fountain Pen
Also known as the Profit, first launched in 1981, the 1911 (the year Sailor was founded) follows traditional Japanese pen design. Some people might find its looks conservative, but it is representative of classic 1930s Japanese pen design - cigar shape, gold ball clip and all. You can't really argue with 'classic'. Anyways as I often say to customers, looks should be secondary to writing. If you can learn to love the way a pen feels and writes, you can learn to love a pen regardless of its appearance. Thatās true in life as well. All that to say this pen writes extremely well, and it is unfussy and a solid and qualitative choice for a first pen.
